InterGrain is the leading Western Australian wheat breeding program and in 2008 will release four new wheat varieties. With a proven track record for delivering high performing wheat varieties, such as Magenta, Wyalkatchem, Carnamah, Calingiri, Arrino, Binnu and Westonia, InterGrain is continuing to deliver the next generation of elite varieties for WA grain growers. With the backing of InterGrain’s shareholders – the Western Australian Government and the Grains Research and Development Corporation, the newly established company is implementing some positive changes to ensure that WA grain growers continue to have access to improved varieties. InterGrain has developed a long-term alliance with Nuseed for the bulk up, sales and promotions of its varieties. InterGrain and Nuseed are committed to ensuring that WA growers can rapidly access new varieties and growers are encouraged to utilise the newly developed SeedPool – an online trading site, to find locally grown suppliers of open traded InterGrain varieties.
